Kenny Omega thinks wrestling fans should watch AEW programming with an "empty cup".

The new AEW World Champion was Chris Jericho's guest on the most recent 'Talk Is Jericho' podcast, and he had a lot to say about how fans watch modern wrestling with "preconceived notions". That, according to Omega, is something that needs to change fast.

Kenny pointed out that Vince McMahon, the guy responsible for building a wrestling empire, had that same "empty cup" back in the 1980s. Fans were willing to go on a journey with him as he broke down barriers, and Omega thinks many folks still hold onto those values rather than embracing new ones.

He also said that AEW's roster is capable of completely changing the way people consume, "think about" and watch pro wrestling.

Omega continued by telling Jericho that having an "open mind" when watching Dynamite, Dark or any AEW pay-per-view is critical. There are some who will see this as elitist chatter from the All Elite side, but Kenny is certainly entitled to his opinion.

What do you think? Does Omega have a point? Or, do you think that AEW's output is overrated?
