King Ross' 10 Favourite WWE Matches Ever

8. Royal Rumble 1992

AKA the one for the vacant WWF Championship.

Ric Flair's quest to become the undisputed World Champion was just brilliant. The Nature Boy entered at number three and wormed through the entire roster to win his first WWF Championship. Brilliant story telling and execution from all concerned.

With Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan at his most biased best, the call for this match added that extra modicum of greatness that took it to the next level. Brain was with Flair all the way and made us know about it.

This Royal Rumble is one of the greatest matches of all-time due to the sheer star power it possessed. It's undeniable, and arguably has never been as strong in a single match in WWE history.

Along with Flair you had: The British Bulldog, Ted DiBiase, Shawn Michaels, Tito Santana, Greg Valentine, Nikolai Volkoff, Kerry Von Erich (as Texas Tornado), Big Boss Man, Roddy Piper, Jake Roberts, Jim Duggan, IRS, Jimmy Snuka, The Undertaker, Randy Savage, Iron Sheik (as Col. Mustafa), Rick Martel, Hulk Hogan, Sgt. Slaughter and Sid Justice - while the rest of the stellar cast were far from unknowns.

I'm a sucker for a celebrity, as the inclusion of this match demonstrates.
