Kurt Angle's 10 Greatest Moments

Intensity, Integrity, Intelligence, Ingenious.

With the announcement that Kurt Angle would be the lead inductee into the 2017 Hall of Fame, fans rejoiced at the Olympic Gold Medallist returning "home" to WWE, not least because it gave the company an excuse to play hours of his footage in the run up to Wrestlemania.

With a host of matches and moments that have largely lay dormant in WWE's archive during Kurt's TNA tenure, the sudden infusion of his act on WWE will be a welcome change to their typical nostalgic choices.

Further to that, Kurt Angle is a genuinely awesome choice for the oft-criticised Hall of Fame, having amassed a sea of honours and titles during a storied 18-year career working everywhere from WWE, to TNA, New Japan Pro Wrestling and WCPW.

With an endless list to choose from, narrowing the field down to ten was tough, but after some careful consideration, here are the Hall Of Fame-bound Olympian's greatest moments.

10. Holding Every Championship In TNA

The crowning glory of Kurt's explosive first year with Total Nonstop Action, Angle would snare EVERY championship in the company thanks to yet another win over perennial rival Samoa Joe.

Putting up his TNA World Title and IWGP Heavyweight Title against Joe's X Division and Tag Titles, the match also featured the first inclusion of Kurt's then-wife Karen into storylines.

Initially appearing to side with Samoa Joe to get in Kurt's head, Mr and Mrs Angle revealed their ruse during the pair's all-title clash at Hard Justice 2007, when Karen slid a steel chair into her husband to allow Kurt to wallop 'The Samoan Submission Machine' in the head for the victory.

As the biggest mainstream star in the company at the time (and for the bulk of his time with TNA), the idea of one man holding every title was not as preposterous as it may have been in somebody else's control.

Furthermore, Angle would be made to defend all three titles at the following month's No Surrender Pay-Per-View, in three completely different matches.

A coup for TNA during a time of growth for the organisation, the gold-plated story only furthered Angle's reputation as one of the most versatile performers in the entire industry.
