Lilian Garcia Interview: "Chasing Glory", Transition Into Podcasting, Returning To WWE & More

Is there any timetable for when fans can expect you back on WWE TV in a ring announcing role?

Garcia: I would love to be able to do that, whether it's next year or something. I don't know if they're going to bringing fans back in or even if it's virtual. I've told them I'm always ready, so if they ever want to bring me in for a special occasion or anything like that, I'm there. WWE's home. It absolutely is. Even though I do all these other projects and like we were just talking about with PFL, they've embraced me. MMA has embraced me. I love that and I love that I can do various things and just keep expanding my own chase for glory. It's been exciting.

What guests are you still hoping to get on the podcast at some point and which former guest(s) would you like to welcome back eventually?

Garcia: There's a couple that are coming up because I've already filmed five episodes and every Friday I announce who's going to be my guest for Monday. That's what we call Glory Friday and we do that on Instagram. I have a couple that I did interviews with on the podcast before. Both of them I never did the video aspect with. The chase for glory continues. It keeps evolving. That's what I love about having guests come back because we can talk about, “Wow, this is where you were last time you were on the show. Talk to me about some of the struggles you've encountered or the successes you've been through and how that feels.” It was really great to have their stories back. I'm never opposed to having a guest back on the show.

As far as who I haven't had, there's so many people because I always learn something new from whoever is my guest. At the end of it, I'm always in awe of their story and their journey. I'm like, “Wow, I've known you for like 10 years and worked with you and I never knew all of this.” That's what makes it very exciting. I've said it but I'd love to get Ronda Rousey. I'd love to get Roman Reigns. I love all my guests, so I can't wait to dive in deeper. I'll put this out there: I am a huge fan of Pat Benatar. She's the reason that I sing the way that I sing and the fact that I really studied her voice. My mom was always playing her records and I was always trying to imitate her style, so to have a Pat Benatar on the show would be awesome. The guest list is endless.
