Pros: - Looks like a blessed combination of ltimo Dragón and Tiger Mask - Trained by Mexican legend Negro Casas - Won one of the seven medallions Cons: - Arrived very late in season one - Cat-themed luchadors are a dime a dozen - He's not even the best cat-themed luchador on the show According to Matt Striker, Bengala is "Mighty", though to my cynical eyes he looks more like a pudgy Mexican dude wearing a lady's sexy Halloween costume of Tigatron from Beast Wars. That doesn't mean he's not a good wrestler, naturally; the guy can fly with the best of them, and he has a particularly beautiful handspring back elbow. The thing is, there are so many more impressive luchadors on the show. Bengala's not bad, per se, but isn't he basically superfluous? The closest parallel I can think of is from the cruiserweight heyday of WCW, when they'd already brought in Rey Mysterio and Psicosis and ltimo Dragón, so they just went all in and imported, like, Lizmark. Bengala is Lizmark. A Lizmark that licks himself like a big weirdo kitty. Final Rating: ***
