Lucha Underground's 34 Wrestlers - Ranked From Worst To Best

28. Marty "The Moth" Martinez

Pros: - Much larger than most of his opponents - Former Tough Enough competitor - Descends from a tribe of Aztec moths and therefore has AZTEC MOTH BLOOD in his veins Cons: - No wins to his name - Insists on constantly flapping his arms around in what he believes to be moth motions - Has never seen a moth before and has no idea what they are or how they move Marty "The Moth" Martinez is an inspired character: a lucha fanboy in a homemade, iron-on AZTEC PRIDE t-shirt that so loved the Temple that he was compelled to sneak in through the air ducts to throw bad dropkicks. It may sound dumb, and it is ( it's SO dumb), but trust me: don't underestimate your own desire to see a Matt Morgan-looking goober prance around and flap his arms like they're wings. Like NXT's Dana Brooke, though, I'm not sure if he's a genre-bending deconstruction of a bad wrestler, or if he's a legitimate oaf that lucked out because they needed a dude that could stumble around convincingly. He is a genuinely powerful athlete, though, and he towers over most of his competition at the Temple. Hey, Lucha Underground, maybe pick a guy who's not built like the Mighty Thor to be your Santino, huh? Final Rating: **1/4
