Major Creative Changes Made At Yesterday's WWE Tapings?

"Rip it up and start again" - Vince McMahon, probably.

Huge, swooping creative changes reportedly went down at the WWE Performance Center yesterday, with the promotion rethinking a number of storyline ideas at the RAW tapings.

This is according to a new PWInsider report that surfaced while the tapings were ongoing, stating that WWE was "deep into re-working their original plans." This was primarily a result of several unnamed wrestlers who were part of the promotion's original schemes being made unavailable, but may also have had something to do with the negative response to The Horror Show at Extreme Rules, which went down on Sunday.

The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online had previously stated that WWE "tore up" and rewrote much of last night's RAW script as a result of the changes. The end product was a show entirely different from the one originally scripted, with taping not commencing until a reported four hours after the planned bell time.

Last night's RAW booked two Extreme Rules rematches - Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler and Asuka vs. Sasha Banks - both of which will go down next week. McIntyre is expecting to face Randy Orton at SummerSlam on 23 August, following 'The Viper's' win over Big Show.
