With WWE Clash in Paris only a matter of days away, WWE has opted to completely cancel one major title match that was previously set for Clash.

Having won a battle royal at WWE Evolution last month, Stephanie Vaquer earned herself a shot at the Women’s World Championship at Clash in Paris. Of course, that title was held by Naomi by the time all was said and done with Evolution, and so, Vaquer vs. Naomi was put in place for Paris, France.

Last week saw Naomi vacate the Women’s World Title after announcing that she and her husband, Jimmy Uso, were expecting a baby. As a result, it remained to be seen who Stephanie Vaquer would face at Clash in Paris to crown a new Women’s World Champion.

And the answer? The answer is nobody.

Surprisingly, as confirmed by Adam Pearce on last night’s Raw, there will be no Women’s World Title match at Clash in Paris this Sunday. Instead, a backstage segment saw the Raw General Manager inform Vaquer that he’s still working on a deal to finalise her opponent for this vacated prize. So, to reiterate, Stephanie Vaquer is still getting a shot at the Women’s World Championship; it just will not be in Paris.

However, last night’s Raw did see another title match confirmed for Clash in Paris, with an in-ring promo segment leading to the announcement of Nikki Bella challenging Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship this Sunday. A Raw-heavy line-up, the rest of the Clash in Paris card sees Seth Rollins defend his World Heavyweight Championship in a fatal four-way bout against CM Punk, Jey Uso, and LA Knight; Sheamus and Rusev go to battle in a Donnybrook bout; Roman Reigns is in action against the Vision’s Bronson Reed; and the solo SmackDown-branded match puts John Cena up against Logan Paul.

WWE Clash in Paris takes place from the Paris La Défense Arena this Sunday.
