Major WWE Return Scheduled For Friday's Super SmackDown?
Someone very special is still advertised locally for this week's WWE SmackDown.
Both WWE's official website and the main page for Madison Square Garden are still promoting Sasha Banks for this Friday's "Super" SmackDown special.
That has led to some social media speculation that the 'Legit Boss' will launch her latest comeback on the broadcast; Sasha could, however, work a dark match on the night. It's worth noting that John Cena is also being advertised locally in the New York market. He's set to work a post-TV six-man (teaming with The Street Profits vs. Roman Reigns and The Usos).
Perhaps WWE wanted to promote a dark match appearance from Banks to shift a few more tickets. That's just a guess though, and it's not like SmackDown isn't already packed with major attractions.
Brock Lesnar will make his TV return on Friday, and Edge vs. Seth Rollins II has been confirmed. Elsewhere, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair will ink the contract for their rematch at Extreme Rules. Some Twitter fans believe that could be Sasha's moment to strike.
There doesn't appear to be a spot for her on the roster outside warring with Belair. Becky's own comeback has muddied the waters there. Is a Triple Threat possible? Stay tuned.
