Major WWE Star Wanted To Change His Entrance Music For YEARS

This wrestler doesn't miss his old entrance theme; knows WWE fans love it.

Sami Zayn knows that wrestling fans loved his old entrance track, but the 'Honorary Uce' wanted WWE to change the thing for years.

Zayn told Metro that the theme (which you can hear by clicking this link) was too jaunty and upbeat for a heel. So, when he first turned back in 2016, Sami asked Vince McMahon if he could switch up his tune to something darker that better-fit his new persona.

Vince said no - the then-WWE boss liked the track and wasn't going to change it. That frustrated Zayn, because he knew how much crowds enjoyed singing along to it live. It was kinda challenging for Sami to get heel heat when everybody was pleased to see him.

WWE finally relented and made the change years later (to this), but Zayn still isn't too keen on his entrance theme. He'd love to have some licensed music, or something that moves completely away from the football chant-esque intro.

Of course, due to his current status as a possible slow-burn babyface, it's always possible that Sami will return to his first music in the long-term.
