Mark Wahlberg Chimes In On WWE's AJ Styles & The Undertaker Angle

The Hollywood star was watching Super ShowDown with his kids...

WWE Super ShowDown 2020 The Undertaker AJ Styles

The entire wrestling world was talking about two things coming out of Super ShowDown. One, Goldberg upsetting Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' to become the new Universal Champion. Two, The Undertaker smashing through AJ Styles and teasing a WrestleMania showdown with the ex-TNA man.

AJ vs. 'Taker has even caught the attention of Hollywood's finest. Mark Wahlberg appeared on WWE's YouTube channel to promote his new movie 'Spenser Confidential' and took a break from shilling to talk about watching Super ShowDown with his kids last Thursday.

Wahlberg joked that Styles should "walk away" from the situation and "let it go".

This isn't Disney's Frozen, Marky Mark - there's serious cash to be made here! Seriously, it is cool that Wahlberg randomly paused mid-movie promotion to talk about an ongoing WWE angle. It's even cooler that he got into character and sold how dangerous The Undertaker is.

It was goofy, it was sudden and it was definitely part of the deal between WWE and Wahlberg, but it was also a nice use of celebrity star power to promote ongoing storylines.

This is something the company should do a bit more of.
