Matt Riddle Reveals His "Personal Life Is In Shambles"
The Original Bro told WWE's After the Bell podcast his professional life is "amazing", though...
Matt Riddle has confessed on a recent appearance on the After the Bell podcast that his "personal life is in shambles."
With The Original Bro set to take on Seth "Freakin" Rollins tonight at WWE's Extreme Rules PLE within the Fight Pit, all eyes are most definitely on the one-time UFC fighter and his bitter rival coming into the show.
And whilst further building up the pair's incoming showdown, which will be refereed by former UFC Champion Daniel Cormier, Riddle would discuss a number of topics on the latest edition of After the Bell with Corey Graves.
Among said subjects discussed was the former United States Champion's life in-between the ropes and away from the squared-circle, with the RK-Bro star confessing to the host (H/T WrestlingInc):
"Well, I'll say this: My personal life is in shambles. I'm not gonna cry on the show ... My personal life is pretty brutal. It's been a rough year for me, you know, it was rough couple years, dude."
While not explicitly noted by the Monday Night Raw man, it's been well-documented how the performer has been experiencing marital problems in the wake of admitting to having an affair during a scandal involving Riddle being accused of sexual assault by fellow wrestler Candy Cartwright back in 2020; an allegation Riddle denied.
Later down the road, the WWE worker's now ex-wife Lisa Rennie Riddle would ultimately reveal on Instagram that the two finalised their divorce in March of this year, stating that "the kids and I are enjoying our new adventure, and are grateful for everyone that's been by our side through all of this."
Despite the above "shambles" of a personal life, Riddle would also go on to note how "professionally, though, my life is amazing. It's great," before discussing the fact he was now focusing on the next stage in his career in the wake of "my apex of tag team wrestling" with fellow one-time Raw Tag Team Champion Randy Orton, turning his attention to his singles career that is "still in its infancy."
