MJF Reveals How AEW's Roster Reacted To Cody Rhodes' WWE Jump
Here's how the men and women in AEW's locker room reacted to Cody Rhodes' leap to WWE.

MJF has told Ariel Helwani's 'MMA Hour' show that AEW's roster reacted "favourably" to Cody Rhodes' WWE jump earlier this year.
The outspoken AEW worker explained by saying nobody was exactly jumping with joy in a 'good riddance' kind of way, but most understood that a major star leaving the company meant a top spot had just opened up on the All Elite side.
That, to Friedman, was a golden opportunity to further establish himself, and he knows many others felt the same way. Cody's departure meant someone else could "step up" and show Tony Khan they were worthy of the same spotlight Rhodes had.
Few viewed that as a negative.
Of course, people wanted to know what had happened and why Cody left, but MJF says most were far too busy thinking about their own prospects to dig deeper. He added that Rhodes' friends would've been "sad to see him go on a personal level", but everyone's competitive spirit kicked in after a few days.
That was immediate for Friedman. Again, he realised that it was time to "step up", and he wasn't the only one thinking that way.
