As announced during Money in the Bank last night, Nikki Bella is making her WWE return on tomorrow's episode of Raw.

No further details were given on this Bella appearance, but with Evolution 2 on the horizon, it could well be that Nikki will wind up having a role to play at that all-women PLE. This follows reports earlier in the year that the 41-year-old would be returning "sooner rather than later".

At the first Evolution event back in 2018, Nikki Bella was in the main event, unsuccessfully challenging Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women's Championship. Now, approaching seven years later, the Flawless One may be involved in Evolution 2 in some capacity when that show rolls around on July 13.

This comes on the heels of the news that the majority of WWE talent were not made aware that Evolution 2 was definitely happening until the PLE was publicly announced, meaning they found out at the same time as fans. However, that initial report did note that certain top stars and one legend had been contacted ahead of time to give them a heads-up, with that legend said to possibly have a match at Evolution 2.

Could Nikki Bella have been that legend? That remains to be seen.

Nikki Bella To Step Back In The Ring?

The last time Nikki Bella stepped in the ring was at this year's Royal Rumble, where she entered the women's Rumble at the #30 spot. Nikki would only spend three minutes in the match before she was eliminated by Nia Jax, though she did manage to eliminate Bayley during that time.

As for Bayley, she's not been seen since a kayfabe injury angle at WrestleMania 41. While the Role Model clearly has unfinished business with Becky Lynch - the person responsible for that injury attack - could she potentially do something with Nikki Bella at Evolution 2? Purely spitballing from your writer, but Bayley would be as good an opponent as any for a Nikki who's not had a singles match since 2018. Again, that's merely an opinion with zero inside knowledge or scoop on what spot, if any, the WWE Hall of Famer will have at Evolution 2.

In terms of that last singles match, the most recent televised one-on-one match for the former two-time WWE Divas Champion was that aforementioned Ronda Rousey contest at the inaugural Evolution. Nikki did work a handful of live events in the aftermath of Evolution - against Rousey and Natalya - but Evolution was the last time fans saw her in a televised singles match. As well as this year's Royal Rumble appearance, Bella was also a part of the 2022 women's Rumble, where she had a nine-minute run that scored her a couple of eliminations before she was eliminated herself by her twin sister Brie.
