Rocky Romero is a world-travelled wrestler, having performed everywhere from AAA to ROH. However, his roots are in New Japan, as he was trained in the LA dojo by Antonio Inoki himself.

Making his full-time return to NJPW in 2010, Romero was slotted with former ROH rival and partner Davey Richards. As members of CHAOS, the "No Remorse Corps" won the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team championships twice, feuding with the likes of Prince Devitt, KUSHIDA, and Tiger Mask. After Richards left New Japan in 2012, Romero looked to another former partner, Alex Koslov of AAA, and together, the "Forever Hooligans" brought the Jr. Tag titles to CHAOS an additional two times, feuding with teams like the Young Bucks.

Romero was left without a partner again after Koslov retired from wrestling in 2015. He bounced back, however, recruiting WWE jobber Trent Beretta to form Roppongi Vice. By far Romero's most successful tag venture, RPG Vice captured the tag titles four times, and even won the 2016 Super Jr. Tag Tournament. Now with Beretta moving up into the heavyweight division, Romero has taken on a managerial role, bringing in former young lions SHO and YOH as Roppongi 3K. The group found success immediately, winning the Jr. tag titles in their first match.

Through his long tenure and various allies, Rocky Romero has been CHAOS' constant presence in the ever-changing juniors division in NJPW.
