NJPW G1 Climax 2018, THE FINAL WEEK: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

13. Minoru Suzuki Vs. Bad Luck Fale (August 10)

Kenny Omega Kota Ibushi
NJPW

Rating: **3/4

There was a cathartic quality to the opening few minutes of the underperforming brawl between Minoru Suzuki and Bad Luck Fale. 'The King' leathered the Firing Squad heavy-hitter with eye-watering chairshots as if he was representing the fanbase he ordinarily terrifies.

Suzuki was taking absolutely f*cking none of Fale's sh*t, basically, having watched the Tongans attempt to destroy both blocks before their final battle. His predictable disqualification win wasn't the one he wanted, not least because it preserved Fale's bizarre record - due almost entirely to the relentless sh*thousery he was the only man in the entire 2018 field not to be pinned or submitted.
