NJPW G1 Climax 2018, THE FINAL WEEK: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

12. Jay White Vs. EVIL (August 10)

Kenny Omega Kota Ibushi

Rating: ***

A heated final third couldn't make up for the disappointing match assembled by perhaps the least deserving points recipients in this year's tournament.

Jay White's G1 looked set to replicate his red hot IWGP United States Championship loss to Juice Robinson with back-to-back wins over Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi, but his heel momentum hit the skids harder than Juice did Jim Ross on that controversial Cow Palace night.

EVIL making it to double figures this year remains mystifying. Unlike others emerging over the last month, few memories were made in his middling matches. Chris Jericho hilariously didn't know who he was at Dominion, it's hard to imagine he has a clue now either.
