NJPW G1 Climax 2018, THE FINAL WEEK: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

11. Kota Ibushi Vs. Tama Tonga (August 8)

Kenny Omega Kota Ibushi
NJPW

Rating: ***1/2

Continuing the tacit game of one-upmanship between the Golden Lovers over the course of the entire G1, Kota Ibushi's battle with Tama Tonga substantially out-stripped Kenny Omega's effort earlier in the tournament. Not least because Ibushi's insanity again featured prominently.

A balcony dive went down a storm with the Yokohama fans, as did the chaos at the back end of the contest that ultimately led to 'The Golden Star' suffering the indignity of a high profile loss at the worst possible time.
