NJPW G1 Climax 2018, Week 3: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

11. Tetsuya Naito Vs. Tama Tonga (26 July)

Tomohrio Ishii Kota Ibushi
NJPW

Rating: ***3/4

The best match of the entire G1 for Tama Tonga (or, for that matter, Bad Luck Fale) and not before time.

The heated brawl between Tonga and LIJ leader Tetsuya Naito brilliantly broke down into a gang war when it became clear that the Samoan star was headed for Destino-related-defeat.

Naito hitting a low blow as a counter to Tonga’s own and managing to cover Tonga Loa in spittle on the floor from his position in the ring were special highlights from an extra-special display.
