Juice Robinson's desperation was palpable on night 12. With just a single victory to his name, the IWGP United States Champion was determined not to finish on a paltry two points, and this reflected in a gutsy, competitive showing that started fluidly, but slowed badly towards the middle.

Still, it was a strong offering from two of NJPW's brightest young stars. Both have enhanced their reputations throughout the competition, and while New Japan's upper-midcard/main event logjam makes it tough for anyone to break into the highest echelon, it'd be great to see them elevated before long.
