9. SANADA Vs. Toru Yano (4 August)

Kenny Omega Tomohiro Ishii

Rating: ***½

Yano's style peaked with last year's absurdly entertaining clash with Kenny Omega, but this wasn't far off, as 'The Sublime Master Thief' delved deep into his bags of tricks against the stoic 'Cold Skull.'

YTR fans knew they were in for a good time as he crept out from beside the stage when SANADA was entering, ambushing his opponent with a Cheshire Cat grin, though he fell on his own sword by the end. SANADA tied Yano around a dislodged railing with his embarrassingly debilitating Paradise Lock. CHAOS stablemate Rocky Romero tried to assist, but he, too, fell to the hold, and with both tied in balls, announcer Milano Collection AT (who made the move famous) was left to free them.
