8. Juice Robinson Vs. Zack Sabre Jr. (4 August)

Kenny Omega Tomohiro Ishii

Rating: ***½

A strong match held back by a lack of crowd heat in the opening stages, this was a fine appetiser for a likely IWGP United States Championship rematch.

Sabre found himself goaded into a striking exchange early on. He toughed through it, but after getting knocked on his arse for the third of fourth time, realised he had to switch gears. From there, ZSJ went after Robinson's broken hand with brutal efficiency, twisted the the weakened joint in all kinds of gross angles.

Nothing compared to the finish, though. Nothing. Sabre's new Cremation Lily finisher had Juice contorted in ways that shouldn't be physically possible, and almost certainly won't against less limber opposition.
