NJPW G1 Climax 2019 Night 16 (August 8) - B BLOCK: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

4. Juice Robinson Vs. Jay White

Juice Robinson and Jay White had one of New Japan Pro Wrestling's best matches of 2018, building each other in a United States Title trade that moved Jim Ross to ask them to "get their sh*t together" at ringside, but the fanbase at large to consider them as upper midcard concerns in the very near future.

Robinson's latest career crossroads emerged when he fell at the feet of Jon Moxley shortly before the start of this tournament, with every G1 Climax match since designed around his awakening as a hardened, reinvigorated soul. Reinvigoration has been 'Switchblade's motivation since kicking off the tournament with a 0-3 record, winning every match since and positioning himself as one of the last three in B Block that could actually win the entire thing.

Here, the cheating f*ck zeroed in on Juice's knee, creating a target for Block rival Jon Moxley to aim for in their closing epic. It was a byproduct of a vicious assault - the type that once won White the IWGP Title, and may yet still win him a Wrestle Kingdom shot at winning it back next year.
