NJPW G1 Climax 2019 Night 6 (July 19) - B BLOCK: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

3. Shingo Takagi Vs. Taichi

Dean Ambrose Jon Moxley

A Pumping Bomber/Axe Bomber meet-in-the-middle at the back end of a surprisingly explosive clash brought to the front Shingo's struggles as he continues his reinvention as a hard-grafting heavyweight in place of dominant Junior Heavyweight displays.

Taichi, again, wasn't in the mood for much until the trousers got torn, but the man behind the madness very nearly scored the win over the Los Ingobernables de Japan bruiser once sh*t got very, very real for the pair late on.

The Suzuki-gun sh*thouse was livid to be left out of last year's event, and has, in his partial defence, brought his working boots to the tournament in place of the relentless cheating many assumed may mirror last year's b*llocks from the BC OG's.

Victory over Tetsuya Naito after their desperately disappointing feud earlier in the year did much to establish him as a force, but Taichi will consider this a massive setback considering how close he came to toppling Takagi in a spectacular final third.

Shingo remains well on track as a result - with Jon Moxley next, this win may prove to have been his most important.
