NJPW G1 Climax 30: Every Participant's Chance Of Winning Ranked From Worst To Best

G1 Climax 30
NJPW

The beloved member of Chaos, Yoshi-Hashi, recently won his first title in the promotion after over 10 years of working there. Becoming 6 man tag team champions alongside partners Ishii and Goto, everyone's favourite lovable underdog was noticeably emotional among his Chaos friends as Kazuchika Okada put the belt around his waist and was delighted by the opportunity to finally call himself a champion.

Yoshi-Hashi has accomplished enough this year to be proud of himself. He fought his way back into the G1 itself after being excluded last year, able to prove himself in a courageous G1 performance against EVIL where he refused to submit, and his perseverance in challenging for the 6 man titles. He has won his first championship, something that many doubters never expected he’d do!

Yoshi-Hashi’s role is to rack up points for other members of the blocks, and to play spoiler as the tournament progresses. He will do a great job at this, and get fans invested in his potential victory even if it’s likely impossible.

He won't win the G1 since he's far from a main eventer, but Japanese crowds would be behind him if he did. After all, there’s no one more relatable in professional wrestling.
