Sean '1-2-3 Kid' Waltman first made his mark on the WWF in a big way, spectacularly and unexpectedly pinning Razor Ramon during an early episode of Raw in 1993, whilst being presented as a typical no-hope jobber.

By 1995, his career was already spiraling out of control. Creatively, he was going nowhere, having being shoehorned into Ted DiBiase's moribund Million Dollar Corporation. Behind the scenes, Waltman's drug abuse was becoming a serious issue, and the performer was sent to rehab before finally being released from the company.

Eric Bischoff's fetish for established WWF stars was at fever pitch in 1996, and despite the risks of taking on board the unreliable Waltman, the cruiserweight was the perfect addition for the recently formed nWo.

A member of the infamous 'Kliq', it made sense that Waltman would follow his buddies Nash and Hall to Georgia to 'take over' WCW. He was rechristened Syxx - a 'clever' pun on his status as the sixth member of the faction (DiBiase himself had migrated months earlier), and the sum total of his previous moniker: 1+2+3. Maths!

Ultimately, Waltman's issues with sobriety meant he wasn't worth the expenditure, and he was famously, unceremoniously fired via FedEx whilst recovering at home from a neck injury.

Though the WWF were on hand to welcome Waltman back to the rejigged D-Generation X, his personal problems did not abate. Matters hit rock-bottom for the former Syxx when he attempted suicide following an argument with girlfriend Alicia Webb. Luckily, she found him just in the nick of time.

It was thanks to the intervention of long-time pal Nash that Waltman finally sought the sort of treatment he required, and since seemingly cleaning up his act, he has been welcomed back in the arms of a previous apprehensive WWE. Appearing alongside his 'Kliq' buddies for their recent Hall of Fame inductions, the 1-2-3 Kid seems a shoe in for the elite club in the coming years.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
