NXT: 10 Worst Creative Decisions Of The Full Sail Era

7. Kassius Ohno Loses His Edge

Ah Kassius Ohno. So much potential wasted...

I'm not going to include WWE's decision to release Ohno here - that was all on him. But towards the end of his run, WWE seemed determined to weaken the Knockout Artist.

During a scorching feud with William Regal, Ohno came across as a vicious psycho heel, attacking the commentator repeatedly and threatening to end his career. The two had a superb match on the April 10th NXT which Regal won. Then two weeks later Ohno came out to make amends.

However, instead of playing the reluctant heel, forced to shake his opponents hand and admit he's the better man, Ohno apologized for interrupting the show, begged for a moment of everybody's time, and proceeded to ask Regal for forgiveness. The psycho heel now looked like a nervous school boy forced to apologize in front of the class.

Worse still, this was his way of turning face!

Ohno would then be attacked by the Wyatt Family and taken off TV in order to lose weight. It seemed as punishment for his loose physique, Ohno was forced to look as humbled and pathetic as possible during the segment, while his sterling match with Regal was ignored.

Maybe he should have worn a shirt like Kevin Owens.

As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG. I may have a problem! But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
