6. Baron Corbin Loses - To The Wrong Man

Baron Corbin was an unstoppable force in NXT. Tall, imposing and possessing a unique and devastating finisher, he plowed through NXTs finest jobbers for over a year. His streak could have really meant something - if it was saved for the right opponent. Like Samoa Joe back at TakeOver: Brooklyn. Or Apollo Crews somewhere down the line.

Instead, the Lone Wolf of NXT suffered his first loss to Neville earlier this year. They met in the semi finals of a tournament to determine the number one contender to Sami Zayn's NXT Championship. During the match, Corbin was pulled out of the ring and attacked by his rival Bull Dempsey. It seemed a count out loss was forthcoming. It would have at least protected the streak.

Instead Dempsey threw Corbin back in the ring and Neville pinned him with the Red Arrow. Neville who had held the NXT Championship for nearly a year. Neville who was on his way up to the main roster. Neville who had absolutely nothing to gain. Neville, who would go on to lose in the finals to Finn Balor anyway. What a waste.

As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG. I may have a problem! But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
