NXT Takeover: 10 Things We Are Most Excited To See
8. The Production
NXT Arrival was a phenomenal production from World Wrestling Entertainment. The company treated it as if it were a pay-per-view event and went all-out to ensure that it looked like one, too. The graphics, the lighting, the video packages and the upgraded entrance themes helped accentuate the in-ring work and made the evening's show feel that much more special than it already was. With Takeover being the second NXT live special broadcast on the WWE Network, it will be interesting to see if WWE goes through all the work to upgrade the already state-of-the-art Full Sail University arena for the event or if they stick with the typical NXT production values and focus more on the in-ring work, which captured the attention of critics and fans alike in the first place. Whatever the case may be as far as aesthetics go, expect to see expertly produced video packages that introduce the talent and stories to the audience and really put over the importance of the night's bouts.
Erik Beaston is a freelance pro wrestling writer who likes long walks in the park, dandelions and has not quite figured out that this introduction is not for Match.com. He resides in Parts Unknown, where he hosts weekly cookouts with Kane, The Ultimate Warrior, Papa Shango and The Boogeyman. Be jealous.
