NXT Takeover: 10 Things We Are Most Excited To See

9. A New and More Aggressive Tyler Breeze

One of the most surprising and effective elements of NXT television as of late has been the evolution of the Tyler Breeze character. Originally inspired by the Zoolander character, Breeze was the delusional fashion model who worried more about his good looks than winning any wrestling matches. He was incredibly over with the fans in Full Sail University but his win-loss record was far from impressive. That has changed as of late thanks, in large part, to an attitude change. Gone are the concerns for his facial features between bells and in their place is a new aggression that Breeze has not been bashful about unleashing on his opponents. Recently, during a match against young up-and-comer Angelo Dawkins, Breeze snapped and abused him with a series of forearms and elbows before finishing him with the Beauty Shot heel kick. His match on May 29 against Sami Zayn could be a watershed moment for Breeze. Zayn is widely considered one of the best workers in the business and his series against Cesaro got him serious recognition. If Breeze can put on his working boots, continue to showcase the new side of himself and has even semi-decent chemistry with Zayn, he could very well add his name to the list of competitors who have broken out on NXT specials.
