NXT TakeOver - The End: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
1. Shinsuke Nakamura Vs. Austin Aries
Result: Nakamura destroys Aries with the Kinshasa (17:05).
Rating: The crowd were distractingly trying to get themselves over for most of the match, but it's easy to understand their excitement considering how strong a technical contest this one was (as expected, of course).
This was as visceral and intense a fight as you would hope for (the easy highlight being Aries' Death Valley Driver on the ring apron), even if the end result was never in doubt.
Still, it was a major step-up from Aries' fairly underwhelming NXT work so far (which has by no means been his fault), and another terrific effort from Nakamura (if not as strong as his showing against Sami Zayn at Dallas). By no means the best that both men are capable of, but the fairly decisive Match of the Night all the same. 8/10
