Undeterred, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa would go on to win those NXT Tag-Team Titles after all. Everything about their match with The Revival was well-worked. Going down 1-0 early on, the babyface crew were up against it and had to claw their way back on level terms with the defending champs.

In the most dramatic manner imaginable, #DIY locked on a pair of simultaneous submission holds. Ciampa had Scott Dawson in his trusty Armbar, working in synergy with Gargano's own Gargano Escape to Dash Wilder. Frantically, the heels looked one another in the eye and roared that the other man didn't dare tap out.

Inevitably, both of them had to. A ground-shaking pop rumbled through the arena, fans really enjoyed that one. Coming back from 1-0 to win 2-1, #DIY were finally able to grab hold of the NXT Tag-Team belts properly.

Even more so than Samoa Joe's NXT Title triumph, Ciampa and Gargano's ecstasy seemed like a long time in the making. If their match with The Revival had been TakeOver: Toronto's main event, nobody could have complained.
