6. Shane Thorne Dives Off The Scaffolding

Ironically given the traditional feel to the main gimmick of his match, Shane Thorne decided to be anything but old-school during his appearance. Alongside Nick Miller as TM-61, Thorne faced The Authors Of Pain to establish who would hold the Dusty Cup next in NXT.

As aforementioned, Paul Ellering was locked in a shark cage and dangled high above the ring. This meant there was scaffolding outside of the squared circle, a structure that was just ripe for exploitation in the bout itself. Thorne was the one to exploit the metal, climbing the truss and performing quite the dive onto Akam and Rezar.

The flip Thorne used was akin to a Swanton Bomb, and the TM-61 member looked like a young Jeff Hardy by being such a daredevil. Again, this was a complete contrast to everything else in the match. Brawling was prominent, there weren't too many big bumps for fans to sink their teeth into.

That actually played into Thorne's favour, he came across better due to the fact both teams kept major risks to a minimum.
