NXT TakeOver Vengeance Day: 10 Things That Must Happen

7. Toni Storm Takes The Title

Io Shirai has held the NXT Women's Title since TakeOver: In Your House last June. Since then, she's feuded with everyone from Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai to Candice LeRae - every single one of those rivalries has been perfectly fine, but it's time for a change.

This is Toni's time.

Storm is ready to become the face of NXT's female ranks. She should dethrone Shirai at Vengeance Day, hold that belt aloft and then become the focal point of an entire division again (like she was on NXT UK for a spell) for the rest of 2021. It's the only title change that seems likely on Sunday anyway.

WWE must be careful not to fall into the same trap they did with Io though. She pinned Rhea Ripley at IYH, not reigning champ Charlotte Flair, and that fact definitely niggled mid-ticker tape celebrations. Toni should pin Shirai, not third wheel Mercedes Martinez.
