Well, this is it.

This is arguably Kushida's final chance to show WWE's top brass that he belongs in the company. That's not a knock on the Japanese striker personally; he was brilliant in New Japan and elsewhere before inking a WWE contract in 2019. Since then, he's been so-so in Vince McMahon's playground.

Hopefully, Johnny Gargano is the man to help bring out the best in Kushida again. NXT fans have yet to see him at his blistering best, and that's a shame. Deep down, Gargano must see that his peer has been struggling. Knowing 'Johnny Wrestling', he'll be out to steal the show at the weekend.

Bring that on, because Kushida sorely needs it. He needs to produce a performance that has social media, Dave Meltzer and everyone tripping over one another to pat him on the back. WWE are giving the guy a big chance here. He better not blow it.
