We'll know for sure come Survivor Series, but for now, let's assume that The Undertaker is actually telling the truth.

As part of the incredible Last Ride documentary on the WWE Network, Mark Calaway revealed that, after 33 grueling years in the business, he was hanging up his trenchcoat for good.

The announcement came during a year where The Undertaker made his comeback following the horrific match in Saudi Arabia with Goldberg. The Deadman was keen to go out on a better match than that and, thankfully, he got his chance against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36.

The Boneyard Match was very well-received and showcased a brand new side to 'Taker; a fusion of his Deadman and Badass personas.

The Last Ride series was utterly spectacular, exploring the typically-secretive superstar's life in a way never seen before. It offered an incredible insight into the mind of a man who has literally done it all in this sport.

If this list has proved nothing else, it's that The Undertaker's career is totally unique. He's ridden the highs, wallowed in the lows, seen stars come and go, and is still here to tell the tale.

He might be known as The Deadman, but The Undertaker's legacy will never ever die.
