You could argue that 1997 was the most important year for The Undertaker so far.

He built upon the "Lord of Darkness" gimmick that had sprung up in late '96, won the WWF Championship at WrestleMania 13, and entered a multi-month feud with Shawn Michaels.

This feud led both men to the first ever Hell in a Cell match at Badd Blood, a match that is notable for more reasons than one. These include one seven-foot tall reason called Glenn.

After months of teasing, The Undertaker finally came face-to-face with his demonic half-brother - Kane.

The Big Red Monster burst through the door of the Cell and stood toe-to-toe with his shocked sibling. The debutant then struck, dropping 'Taker with a Tombstone to hand the victory to HBK.

Despite this being more about Kane, this moment changed the course of The Undertaker's career forever.

Whether they were feuding, teaming, or teaching each other how to do the Last Ride, 'Taker and Kane's WWE personas have been entwined ever since.

Their fictional relationship is a cornerstone of both of their characters and has provided fans with some incredible drama over the last 23 years.
