Riddick Moss has recently resurfaced as part of Raw Underground after several months off WWE TV, and now comes an update on the reason for Moss’ absence.

In a new report by Fightful Select, the reason for Moss being away from TV was down to Paul Heyman.

Previous stories rightly claimed that Moss was staying home due to a family member of his having cystic fibrosis and thus being a high-risk person during the ongoing global situation. This latest report claims that Moss was actually sent home by then-Raw Executive Director Heyman, rather that the former 24/7 Champion himself ruling himself out of action.

The reason for Heyman making this decision is because he didn’t want Moss to risk getting any heat if he was forced to make this call himself.

Heyman is said to have been extremely high on Riddick Moss, and there were plans afoot for the superstar to get a strong push before he was forced to take a leave of absence.

While Paul Heyman may now have been relieved of his off-camera Raw duties, it remains to be seen whether there’s a big push in the future of Riddick Moss. There’s no doubt that Moss has the look that Vince McMahon historically gets tight in the pants over, so it’ll be interesting to see how things play out for Riddick over the next few months.
