Piledrivers and blood could be off the table for WrestleMania 34, according to a report by Post Wrestling.

The website has recently spoken to a representative of the Louisiana Boxing & Wrestling Commission, who confirmed that, in addition to intentional bleeding, use of the Piledriver is prohibited at all shows held within the state. This rule was introduced several years ago after a wrestler sustained an injury as a result of the move.

While blood is seldom used in WWE anyway, restrictions on the Piledriver could affect the company's plans if the rumours about Undertaker facing John Cena on 8 April have any truth. Though the Deadman performed his Tombstone manoeuvre four years ago on Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX - also held in New Orleans - the rule in question may not have been in place at this time.

In addition to the above, Louisiania lawmakers require all performers to submit blood work proving that they are free of HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatatis C prior to any events in which they participate. They must also undergo an independent physical examination on the day of the show before they are officially cleared to compete.

These rules will naturally apply both to WWE and the smattering of independent promotions that traditionally hold shows in and around the WrestleMania host city in the week leading up to the event.
