Potential SPOILER On Identity Of AEW's Devil
Latest on AEW's long-awaited 'Devil' reveal - and who's behind the mask.
Despite rumours to the contrary, AEW personnel don't believe that Jack Perry will be part of the company's 'Devil' reveal.
Fightful Select reports that a "high-level source" in AEW doesn't think that Perry is involved in the ongoing angle. Previously, the outlet had reported that the people currently under the 'Devil' masks on AEW television will be those involved in the reveal.
Perry had been suspended from AEW since brawling with CM Punk at August's All In event, though Fightful states his punishment has now elapsed. Despite this, Perry hasn't been back at shows.
It's possible, at this stage, that AEW could adjust its creative to include the former Jungle Boy in the 'Devil' storyline. This week's Dynamite saw the 'Devil' and his henchmen attack 'Hangman' Adam Page in a parking lot, putting the former AEW World Champion through a car windshield with "real glass," alluding to Perry's infamous issues with Punk.
AEW has teased several wrestlers as 'Devil' associates in similar ways, including Page, after the masked group left a broken beer bottle beside MJF's body after a beatdown last week. Such names as Adam Cole, Wardlow, and Roderick Strong have also been speculated.
