Power Ranking WWE's Top Performers For November 2016

8. Baron Corbin

WWE Power Rankings September 2016

Previous Ranking: Unranked

SmackDown has done a far superior job to Raw when it comes to giving increased exposure to their midcard talent. The smaller roster requires them to be more aggressive in pushing people up the card. Last month it was all about The Miz. Now we're seeing The Lone Wolf quickly climb the rankings.

Baron Corbin is an old school heel - the type of guy that fans genuinely dislike - and he's managed to cultivate that in a way that convinces us that he's not playing a character. His "indie killer" gimmick in NXT was golden, and he's doing a version of it on the big stage, this time targeting Kalisto while playing the role of the brutish bully.

Corbin cost SmackDown the entire cruiserweight division at Survivor Series when he interfered in the match between his rival and The Brian Kendrick, and it's put him in a mini-feud with GM Daniel Bryan.

He also had an outstanding appearance on Talking Smack where he did more to get over in 5 minutes than many wrestlers do in six months of TV time. As long as he keeps improving and they don't stunt his development SmackDown has a potential main eventer on their hands.
