Predicting 5 WWE Talents Whose Stock Will Go Up After WrestleMania 38 (And 5 Whose Will Go Down)
5. UP - Asuka
OK, let's deal with the elephant in the room first: WhatCulture in general (and this writer in particular) was not happy with WWE's handling of Asuka before her disappearance last year. However, even with the recent rumours that WWE Creative have nothing for her, there's reason to believe 2022 will see the Empress of Tomorrow's stock rise in the company.
The silver lining to Asuka's lengthy absence is that, when she returns, she will do so with a clean slate. Much like Bret Hart's lengthy absence in 1996 banished memories of his poor booking in the year prior, fans will view Asuka's post-'Mania return as the triumphant comeback of a celebrated veteran.
Wrestling fans are ready to cheer the Empress on once more, the women's roster is in need of shaking up and watching a happy, healthy Asuka do her thing will never fail to be entertaining.
WWE is a more vibrant and joyful place with the Empress of Tomorrow around, and her return will be one of the biggest highlights of the year.
