As stated before, Summerslam is the point of no return for a lot Superstars, and once the curtain closes, a lot of wrestlers will move over to their sister brand in search of new fortunes. It becomes even harder to predict PPV main events at this point, but there are at least some brand changes that seem a given (Rollins/Reigns, Sami, Cesaro to Smackdown, and Cena & Orton to RAW).

AJ Styles is set to stay on Smackdown, while Randy Orton is off to RAW. Though both men have huge pockets of supporters, Styles is starting to become more of an intentional babyface, while Orton’s time manipulating the Wyatt Family has sent him down a much darker path. If Orton wins the belt, he takes it to RAW, so there’s a lot of pressure on Styles to pick up the win.

Meanwhile, Triple H’s turf war comes to a head, as the team of Hunter, Joe and Owens takes on the alliance of Sami Zayn, Finn Balor and Seth Rollins. In an attempt to create dissension between his foes, the Cerebral Assassin states that whoever picks up the pinfall against his team (although, he says, that’s not going to happen) will be granted a title shot against Samoa Joe. His scheme backfires, and Finn Balor picks up the pinfall against Triple H himself.
