Predicting The 16 Teams In The 2017 NXT Dusty Rhodes Tag Classic (And How Far They Will Go)

TM-61 have to return at some point, don’t they? Last year’s losing finalists seemed to be gaining momentum, and were tipped by many to be the team to serve The Authors of Pain their first defeat. It wasn’t to be however, and Shane Thorne suffered a serious injury in a match against The Revival back in January 2017.

Thorne was reported to be out of action for seven to nine months, meaning that the Antipodean team are scheduled to return sooner rather than later. It could not have come at a better time in truth - #DIY’s split means NXT is now looking for a new top babyface tag team.

TM61 vs. reDRagon could be the feud that carries the NXT tag team division into 2018, and it could also do wonders for both duos. The matches should be fantastic too, continuing the trend in the division ever since The Revival won the titles in late 2015.

TM-61’s return will be good news for everyone, and Thorne and Miller should be considered among the favourites for the 2017 Dusty Classic. A second straight runner’s up spot will have to do however.

Prediction: Losing Finalists

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
