5. Wardlow

…here comes the big guy to spoil the party. Now, from a 2022 perspective, many fans may feel they’ve had enough of the Wardlow/MJF feud, which built brilliantly to a great pay off. But we’re talking a few years down the line, here, and turning up once again to squash his former paymaster could be the moment that tips Wardlow over the edge into mega stardom.

While the angle went on for quite a spell, the two have only faced off in one singles match, and that wasn’t much of a contest. So a proper clash between MJF and super-babyface Wardlow could be a great bit of business, especially if the odds are stacked once again against Mr Mayhem.

On his run up to MJF, Wardlow took on some serious opposition and seemed to impress more with every passing match, showing off a surprisingly deep move set as well as a great deal of charisma. The fans clearly love him; the question is when to give him that final push. And while there’s an argument to strike while the iron’s hot, it would be so much more emotional were he to bring an end to an MJF reign of terror.

Who, though, could take it off him?
