Predicting The Next 10 AEW World Champions

4. Keith Lee

AEW

This could be a hoss fight for the ages, if booked right. Keith Lee’s exposure in AEW has so far been slow but steady. He got off to a great start squashing a game Isiah Kassidy before taking a bit of a back seat. His tag team with Swerve Strickland has been great fun, though, and his popularity shows no sign of wavering.

As the majority of wrestling viewers who aren’t Vince McMahon have long known, Lee has an ineffable quality, and AEW would be remiss not to use it to the fullest. He briefly seemed to be on his way in WWE before COVID and mismanagement put paid to his rise, and we can only hope AEW do things right.

Wardlow has thus far been booked like a total monster (albeit one quite susceptible to the surprise roll up). Toppling him should be a major feather in the cap for whoever gets the honour, and Lee has the size, skill, and crowd support to make it work.

The two teased what they could do together at Revolution. Two athletic monsters going at it for the company’s biggest prize could be sensational.
