Predicting The Next 10 Alignment Changes In WWE
7. Dominik Mysterio
As much as WWE likes to tell us that anything can happen, there are two certainties in Vince McMahon's company:
1) A struggling babyface will turn heel.
2) A family unit will implode in spectacular fashion.
Given that Dominik Mysterio is both a floundering babyface and currently paired up with his legendary father, it's safe to say we can expect the younger Mysterio to break bad sooner rather than later.
Ever
since Dominik and Rey lost the tag titles at last year's Money in the
Bank, the highlights have been few and far between for Rey's progeny.
Hell, even the highest point - a WrestleMania match against Logan Paul
and the Miz - was mitigated by the fact that the Mysterios lost the
match (and just to rub it in, Dominik was emphatically squashed by the Miz on the follow-up RAW).
Frankly, Dominik has been booked so poorly in the past year that him turning on his ever-popular father feels like the only shot he has at reigniting interest in his career. At only 25 years of age it's way too soon to write off the younger Mysterio, but WWE desperately need to do something to help Dominik get over the previous year of booking mis-steps.
