Dolph Ziggler may not be as over as he once was, but after a series of disappointments he's currently in the midst of one of his more successful runs - and that is a huge victory in itself. In fact, this summer alone has seen him win both the Intercontinental and Raw Tag Team Championships. His high-profile feud with Seth Rollins even saw him make a rare pay-per-view main event appearance, during which he actually won.

That rivalry with Rollins resulted in his direct involvement in the main event picture, as he, McIntyre and Braun Strowman are currently embroiled in a feud with all three members of The Shield.

Right now, Ziggler is exactly where he needs to be, and throughout the next year should be able to capitalise on that momentum to catapult him back to the top of the mountain. This may be WWE's last chance to make him the star that he should have been years ago, and a single reign as Universal Champion would undoubtedly eclipse all of his lacklustre World Heavyweight Title reigns. The 'Showoff's time will come eventually, and it will be worth the wait.
