Predicting The Next 10 WWE World Champions
6. Drew McIntyre
WWE loves blockbuster sequels and there's no better place for the WrestleMania rematch between reigning champion Keith Lee and former champion Drew McIntyre than the Biggest Party of The Summer.
This would allow Lee to defend his title against any and all comers between 'Mania and SummerSlam, proving himself a dominant champion and giving him a solid run with the gold while McIntyre presumably takes some time off after having the pretty tall task of essentially leading Monday Night Raw for over a year (or, y'know, feuds with Sheamus again). And it could all lead to an epic rematch at the second-biggest event of the year in which McIntyre reclaims his gold.
Lee may lose the gold to the man he won it from, but that's hardly a bad thing. He would have allowed us to bask in his glory for a good long while as champion but it's important that he, like many before him, figures out who he is without the belt that his first major push will inevitably lead to.
