Predicting The Next 5 WWE UK Champions

2. Gabriel Kidd

Gabriel Kidd is a star on the rise. The man from Nottingham is barely 20 years old and already has the WCPW Internet Championship around his waist, not to mention the support and adulation of the WCPW crowd. Kidd often gives the impression of a blank slate that is being filled up, and his eagerness to learn is difficult to ignore.

By the time the fifth WWE United Kingdom Champion is crowned, Gabriel Kidd could well be developing into something very special indeed. It is easy to imagine that WWE is going to be interested in young superstars that they can mould into their own special talents, and Gabriel Kidd fits that bill to a tee.

The WCPW Internet Championship represents Kidd's first championship win, and the next couple of years of his career may well be informed by how he carries himself as champion. Less than a year ago he was forced to be Prince Ameen's servant - if Kidd can deal with his prodigious rise, it may well go on and on.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
